Since its establishment in 2008, the AAAS Center for Science Diplomacy has been a leader in conceptualising science diplomacy as a critical aspect of 21st century science and international relations. The Center demonstrates how science can build bridges between societies where official relationships may be strained, strengthened interactions and partnerships between the scientific and diplomatic communities, and developed the intellectual framework and training to support the practice of science diplomacy.
AAAS is an associated partner in the S4D4C project.
AAAS regularly awards the “AAAS Award for Science Diplomacy”: https://www.aaas.org/awards/science-diplomacy/about
