Philipp Brugner is a project manager and communications specialist at the Department for Research Policy & Development at the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI). He holds a MA degree in Slavic Studies and a BA degree in Political Sciences from the University of Vienna. At ZSI he develops and implements communication, dissemination and exploitation strategies in a number of Horizon 2020 projects. Moreover, he is an experienced trainer on various aspects of proposal development under the EU research and innovation framework programme. Before joining ZSI, Philipp worked as a short-term consultant for the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy, researched on long-distance commuting in the Russian oil sector and published in German and Austrian newspapers as a freelance journalist. Between October 2016 and June 2020 Philipp also served as a “Young European Ambassador (YEA)” for the Eastern Partnership as part of the EU NEIGHBOURS east project. In S4D4C, his focus has been on the project’s communication activities in the set-up phase and during 2019.
