S4D4C @ AAAS Annual Meeting in February 2019

You can meet the three European “sister projects” related to science diplomacy: EL-CSID, InsSciDE and S4D4C at the session “Beyond or Despite Political Borders: Science Diplomacy and the Construction of Europe” during the AAAS Annual Meeting in Washington on 16 February 2019.

Moderated by Petri Backman (project officer at the Research Executive Agency), the session examines science diplomacy prectices and institutions in the European Union and highlights the past, the present and the future of the field in Europe.

For S4D4C, Alexander Degelsegger (ZSI) will present how to build an European Research Area (ERA) allowing for the free circulation of knowledge, technology and researchers within the EU and ensuring openness to the world and the related ERA instruments, by using impact science diplomacy approaches at EU and EU Member State level.
