Dr Simone Weske is a political scientist and Senior Scientific Officer at DLR Project Management Agency (DLR-PT). Simone leads a strategy unit at DLR-PT and is mainly supporting the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in strategic questions of international STI funding. Prior to joining DLR-PT, Simone worked as a business consultant for the Boston Consulting Group, as a project manager in research funding for the German foundation “Mercator” and as a research fellow for the Center for Applied Policy Research in Munich. She published several books and articles on international as well as science politics and also lectured on these questions at the University of Munich. Simone studied political science at the University of Munich and University College Cork and did a binational PhD at both LMU Munich and Sciences Po Paris. She is a member of the Academic Council of the “Munich European Forum”, a non-profit association dedicated to the political and academic education of students and young professionals from all over the world. Simone coordinated the activities of DLR-PT in the context of S4D4C.
