The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

IPCC is the United Nations body for assessing the science related to climate change. The IPCC is an organisation of governments that are members of the United Nations or WMO (World Meteorological Organisation). The IPCC currently has 195 members. Thousands of people from all over the world contribute to the work of the IPCC. The IPCC provides regular assessments of the scientific basis of climate change, its impacts and future risks, as well as options for adaptation and mitigation.

The Task Group on Data Support for Climate Change Assessments aims to provide guidance to the IPCC’s Data Distribution Centre on curation, traceability, stability, availability, and transparency of data and scenarios related to the reports of the IPCC.
